Untraced or Uninsured Driver

If it wasn’t bad enough to be involved in an accident, you may also find that the person who took you out is uninsured.

Unfortunately there will also be occasions, when you are lying on the road, that the car/lorry/van flees the scene.

However, all is not lost. There is a body called the Motor Insurers Bureau (“MIB”).

London Based Hit And Run Solicitors Serving Motorcyclists Nationwide

All the insurance companies have to pay into the MIB and that money is used to deal with all of the untraced and uninsured cases.

What you should be aware of is that the rules governing MIB cases are complicated and the MIB will try to avoid paying out on your claim if they can possibly do so.

It is important that you use a solicitor who has experience of dealing with the MIB and is successful in recovering against them. RSS ticks that box.

Give us a call if you have been involved in a hit and run and wish to make an untraced accident claim or if you think that the other person may be uninsured. We will let you know what you need to do.

ONE VERY IMPORTANT POINT THAT YOU NEED TO KNOW IF YOU ARE INVOLVED IN A HIT AND RUN:

YOU MUST REPORT THE ACCIDENT TO THE POLICE IMMEDIATELY

Unless you report the accident to the police within 7 days it is quite likely that your claim will be prejudiced.
